2025 BY-LAWS AMENDMENTS
The SPEE By-Laws document sets forth the basic principles of governance of SPEE. The SPEE Board of Directors has identified a number of recommended changes to be included in a 2025 revision. Voting closed on November 29, 2024. The Board is pleased to announce that all three revisions passed overwhelmingly. A final copy of the approved SPEE By-Laws, dated March 6, 2025, is attached below. The final changes are:
- The ABET has been removed from the Bylaws, and the SPEE has adopted Appendix A as its own document.
- The RDC mandate has been expanded to:
- Include resources and definitions related to the capture, utilization, and/or subsurface storage of carbon dioxide or other greenhouse gases.
- The application of such definitions and guidelines
- The RDC has been renamed to the Reserves and Resources Definitions Committee.
