Abstract: Should we melt the cube, drain the tank, or drink some wine from the rack? What happens if we do? Our industry is facing the challenge of continuing to optimize results while minimizing detrimental impacts from our development strategies. How can we understand the interactions and complexity of our subsurface world in way that guides our business decisions? In this talk we will explore the use of empirically derived physics with examples from the Midland Basin and Eagle Ford.
